TeraStation RAID Terminology

The TeraStations do not use standard RAID terminology:
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Disk Scan | Scans the array, ensuring the accuracy of all data. Some corrupt data (like from an unsafe shutdown) may be deleted. |
| Disk Restructuring | Rebuilds the array on a single disk, using the raid data on the other disks. No data loss. |
| Rebuild Array | Recreates an entirely new array, from scratch. Total data loss. |
