Model Regional Differences

Created 05/30/2012 12:38  |   Updated 04/24/2014 08:18

Products with the same name sold by different divisions of Buffalo in various countries are not necessarily identical.

For example, the wireless channels used are often different in each country, due to government regulations.

This leads to Buffalo developing products with the same model number and same feature set, but with different software/hardware.

This is why there are region specific firmware updates and availability.

Only firmware versions for your product's specific region should be used.

Using the firmware designed for another region is unsupported and will void the warranty.
