Unable to play video or music files on the CloudStation

If you have a problem to play video or music files, please confirm that your media settings are set like below.
* Make sure the videos are set to transcode: navegate to [Settings]-[Media Setting], and select [Always] at "Optimize your videos for remote playback".

  1. Avi and MPG files will not play if their video and audio codecs are not supported by the CloudStation.

    Video Codecs H.264, AVC, MPEG-4 Part10, AVCHD
    Audio Codecs AAC

  2. The media player on the browser may not support the file format of the video if your media files are not transcoded and you are playing the original file.
    For paying video, the browser should support the video codec.
  3. Check if the video and audio formats are supported by the CloudStation.
    This is a list of the file formats supported by the remote Web interface.

    Video Audio 
    M4V H.264/AVC/MPEG-4 Part10 AAC, AC3 
    MP4, MOV H.264/AVC/MPEG-4 Part10,
    sometimes H.263/MPEG 4 Part2 (DIVX, XVID, Nero Digital)
    AAC
    MPG, MPEG MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 MP3, MP2, MP1 Audio
    AVI AVIs can be working just about any compression type.
    Find out the video and audio codecs if they may or may not work.
    M2T, M2TS, MTS MPEG-2 Part1 or AVCHD Audio Codecs:
    AC-3 or LPCM
