Where is a serial number on network products?

This is instructions for identifying the serial number.
The 14-digit / 6-digit number printed on the device's rear panel or bottom panel is the serial number.
The serial number is the 14-digit / 6-digit number consisting only of numerals (S/N: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx / xxxxxx).

If you do not find the serial number indicated on the device itself, please check the side of the product's package.

12-character codes such as "000740xxxxxx" and "000B0Dxxxxxx" containing letters as well as numerals are MAC addresses.
This can easily be mistaken as the serial number, so please be sure to check this carefully.
